Phaltceel
Asphalt materials represent a significant investment. We believe that they should be protected whenever possible by the application of Phaltceel.

Phaltceel is a highly developed water-based acrylic product. It has been formulated to penetrate and protect all asphalt materials from the adverse effects of contamination by petrol, jet fuel, diesel and oils. Phaltceel will also protect against premature ageing by exposure to UV light.

Preparation and use has been designed to be as simple as possible. Surface contamination must be removed and old asphalt surfaces should be thoroughly washed and cleaned. The surface for Phaltceel application must be dry and free from residue.

Phaltceel is supplied in two component parts. Component A and component B must be gently mixed together in a suitable container.

Phaltceel is formulated for application by airless spray. It should be applied to the clean and dry substrate by airless spray in two thin coats. The recommended rate is 18 sq. metres per litre for each coat. Care must be taken to ensure that thin and even coats are applied. A fan nozzle is recommended on the airless spray or spray bar apertures.

The second coat is applied when the first coat is thoroughly dry and tack free, typically 45 to 60 minutes. Phaltceel should not be applied in temperatures of below 5°C or if rain is predicted within 90 minutes of completion of the application.

Asphalt Associates Ltd also welcomes approaches from companies for supply of Phaltceel in geographical territories that are available. Please use the contact page to express your interest.
